Thomas Griffin Flanagan, born December 10,1954 in Evanston IL, died October 5, 2019 in Eagle River WI. Tom passed peacefully at Milestone Senior Living in Eagle River WI surrounded in love by family and friends, including his brother Jim (of Eagle River), niece Brigid (of Iowa City), nephew Robert (of Chicago), cousins Dan, John, Loretta, Sarah, Theresa, and Tricia, friends Ann, Barb, Elliott, Haidee and John, and the many warm and caring staff where he lived. Tom received calls, gifts, letters and and prayers from all of his numerous other cousins and his aunt Eileen, all now scattered throughout the world.  Tom was predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Christine, mother Catherine and father Robert. Tom graduated Marquette University with a Bachelor's. He managed and then owned a delivery business and most recently enjoyed being a driver for Lyft. Tom was the soul of generosity, having given emotional, financial and every other kind of help to his two disabled siblings over many decades. Tom was the epitome of warmth, engaging and personable, most often having everyone laughing at his hilarious stories and one-liners. Tom managed all of this with good cheer, despite years of crippling psoriatic arthritis and widespread cancer. Catholic mass will be said for Tom at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 North Sauganash Ave Chicago IL at 10 am on Friday, October 18, 2019. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines will follow, arrangements per Gaffney -Busha (of Eagle River WI) and Evanston Funeral & Cremation (of Evanston IL).
