Stephanie Ann Jarvis, 35, crossed over on Friday April 28, 2023. Lovingly known as Stevie, she was joyful and full of life but struggled with mental illness for many years. Her passing is a great loss for all who knew her, but her family takes comfort knowing that she is now at peace, free from the challenges that she faced in life.
Stevie is survived by her mother Terri (Ed) Jarvis, father Steven (Ellona) Jarvis, siblings Hannah (Zack) Tomlinson, Jackie, Lanna, and Connor Jarvis, grandfather Kenneth Jarvis, grandmother Helen Tylin, and nephew River Tomlinson, as well as her many beloved friends and extended family.
Stevie was born Chicago in 1987 and grew up in Evanston and Wilmette. She attended New Trier High School and lived for many years in Evanston where she was a familiar and friendly presence working for local retailers and animal care facilities. Stevie will be remembered for her vibrant personality, adventurous spirit, love of music, travel, and great affection for all of earth's animals.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial reception in Stevie’s honor on May 21, 2023 from 12-4pm at Hackneys On Lake, 1514 E. Lake Ave, Glenview IL. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Stevie’s name to the National Association for Mental Illness (NAMI).
