Stella N. O'Brien, 77, of Evanston, IL passed away Wednesday August 21, 2019 at her home. Born Monday, July 6, 1942 it the Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury Connecticut, the daughter of Glenn A. Noble and Elizabeth C. Noble, nee Rowell. She was the widow of Thomas L. O’Brien, attorney with Vedder Price for over 25 years in Chicago. She was an avid gardener, reader and cook, all passions she shared with family and friends.  She was a frequent volunteer at First Presbyterian Church of Evanston. A resident of Evanston for 49 years, she is survived by her brother Steve (Pauline) Noble of Antrim, NH and preceded in death by her brother Phillip Nobel; she leaves behind sons Kevin (Robin) O'Brien of Buffalo Grove and Michael O'Brien of Evanston; and three granddaughters – Kate, Clare and Maddie. Private interment will take place later.

Memorial visitation Saturday, August 31, 2019, 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Boulevard, at Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL with a luncheon to follow.
