Samuel George Goss, IV, known as "Sam", passed away peacefully July 2, 2022. He was a Chicagoan through and through - starting with his birth in NorthShore University Hospital on Monday October 5, 1959. He graduated from Latin High School and attended Northwestern University. Sam was an avid sailor who loved taking road trips and reading, and never missed his morning Chicago Tribune. Once a commodities trader with Fidelity and always a problem solver, Sam was a handyman for the City of Evanston. A devoted father and husband, Sam was a fabulous gourmet chef, hospitable, and a real MacGyver. As one peer said, "From the ordinary to the VERY odd job, he always approached it cheerfully." He will be loved and missed dearly by his survivors, particularly: his wife Nichola, sons Quin and Nash, sister Alison and nephew Stark, along with many other friends and relatives. A private memorial for close friends and family will take place on Friday, July 8. Interment private. Arrangements entrusted to Evanston Funeral & Cremation, Roland F. Weis director.
