Robert Joseph Walsh

Robert "Bob" J. Walsh, 88 of Rosemont, passed away suddenly at his home in the early hours of Sunday February 27, 2022. He was born Wednesday June 7, 1933 in Chicago, the son of Thomas Walsh and Mildred Walsh, nee Hausknecht. Retired tile setter and owner of Walsh Tile, Inc. and US Army veteran, having served in Arizona. Long-time volunteer for the American Red Cross. Beloved husband of Mary A. Walsh. He is the loving father of 8 children; Candice (Stephen) Jacobsen of Libertyville, Pamela (Richard) McMahon of Palatine, Michael Walsh of Romeoville, Cheri (Gregory) Vogt of Springfield IL, Beth (Michael) Emerson of Sleepy Hollow, Trace (William) Chesner of Virginia, Kevin Walsh of Elgin and Timothy Walsh of Des Plaines. Devoted grandfather of 18 grandchildren and dear great grandfather of 6. Fond brother of the Late Thomas W.(Mary Jane) Walsh of Itasca and Judith Roberts of Elgin. A Memorial Mass 10:30am Saturday March 5, 2022  at Our Lady Of Hope Catholic Church, 9711 West Devon Avenue, Rosemont IL 60018. Private interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
