Robert Anthony Rita

Robert Anthony Rita, 76 of Evanston, passed away Sunday June 2, 2024 at his home. He was born Tuesday September 9, 1947 in Evergreen Park IL, the son of Charles A. Rita, Sr. and Ruth, nee Anderson. He received his PhD in Material Science from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and pursued his career as a material scientist, receiving numerous patents for his work. He is survived by his brother, Charles A. Rita, Jr. of Evanston. Interment private. Arrangements entrusted to Evanston Funeral & Cremation, Roland F. Weis director.
