Reeva Shoengood, 95, of Evanston Illinois, formerly of Quincy, IL and Longboat Key, FL, died on September 30, 2021. She was born January 26, 1926, in St. Louis, a daughter of Ben and Della Levin Brodsky. Reeva's parents operated Nelson's Menswear in Quincy for many years. She attended Quincy High School, class of '43, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois in 1947. Reeva married Dr. Walter Max Libmann on December 14, 1947 and they were married for 21 years. Dr. Libmann passed away in 1969. Reeva married Dr. Eric Shoengood on November 11, 1971 and they were married 28 years. Dr. Shoengood passed away in October 2000. Reeva was a member of B'nai Shalom Temple in Quincy and was active in the Temple Sisterhood. She was also a member of Temple Beth Israel in Longboat Key, FL. She was an avid golfer at Westview Golf Course, Quincy Country Club, and the Longboat Key Club. Reeva lived the last 9 years of her life at the Mather of Evanston in Evanston, IL. Survivors include two sons, Michael Libmann of Quincy Illinois and Alex Libmann and wife Dr. Wenyi Jia of Portland, Oregon, and a daughter Judy Libmann Masinter and husband Richard of Evanston, IL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchilden. Additional survivors are step daughters Karen Shoengood Jarchow, Debbie Shoengood Marcum, and step son Scott Shoengood. In addition to her husbands, Reeva was preceded in death by her sister, Dana Roman. Private graveside services were at Valley of Peace Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois.
