Norman Peter Pucilo Obituary
Norman Pucilo, 77, of Lincolnwood, Illinois, a beloved brother, uncle, and great‑uncle, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, after living for several years with a rare and progressive neurodegenerative disorder, MSA.
Norm was the devoted son of Stephanie (née Huminiak) Pucilo and Peter Pucilo, both deceased. He leaves behind his loving sister, Joann May (and her late husband, Jerry); his cherished nieces, Nicole (Adam) Klein and Shannon (Tyler) Broach; and his adored great‑niece and great‑nephews, Ethan Klein, Oliver Klein, Reece Broach and Charlie Broach. He is also remembered with affection by many cousins who were an important part of his life.
A proud graduate of Campion Jesuit High School, Norm continued his education at St. Louis University, where he further developed the curiosity and discipline that shaped his professional life. He went on to build a series of successful and meaningful careers, beginning at the Northwestern University Medical School Program of Respiratory Care, and later contributing his talents to Baxter International, James Martin Consulting Company, his own private consulting firm, Verve and ultimately the City of Chicago, where he was valued for his dedication, professionalism, and steady presence.
Norm had a tremendous zest for living. He loved hosting shrimp boils, ringing in the New Year with friends, and sailing to destinations around the world with a lively and loyal circle of companions. His life was defined by love, laughter, and friendship, and he brought joy to every gathering.
Norm will be remembered most for his kindness, his humor, and the way he made every room lighter just by being in it. Norm faced his illness with courage and grace, and even in difficult times, he never lost his warmth or his ability to make others smile. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his love and spirit remain with all of us who were lucky enough to be part of his life. Norm will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Private Celebration of Life services will be announced in the coming weeks.
