Michael A. Melnick, 88 of Evanston, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born Thursday August 2, 1934 in Chicago, the son of Michael B. Melnick and Dorothy Melnick, nee Vogel. He graduated in 1952 from Downers Grove Community High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in 1957 from North Central College in Naperville Illinois. He served in the US Army 1958-1960 as an SP4 with the 503 Administration Co., 3rd Armored Division, stationed at Fort Hood Texas, and Frankfort am Main, Germany. He was a life member of the Illinois State Genealogical Society, and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. He is survived by his brother, Louis D. Melnick of Evanston. Preceded in death by his brother, Peter G. Melnick. Interment private. Arrangements entrusted to Evanston Funeral & Cremation, Roland F. Weis director.
