Osborn Marcos Curtis, "Marcos", 17 of Evanston, passed away Friday July 30, 2021. He was born Monday March 8, 2004 in Chicago. Son of Andrew Jay Curtis. Brother to his twin sisters, Selene Belen Curtis and Milagros Mia Curtis and brother to Maximo Noé Curtis. Nephew to Robert and Traudi Curtis, Jewel Alexandra Curtis and Martin Walt and Jennifer Curtis. Godson to Elaine Heuberger.
Marcos first year was spent in Chicago. After celebrating his birthday he relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina for the following 14 years.
When Marcos was 5 years his love for soccer took hold and always remained. He played Club Soccer throughout his childhood and continued upon his return to the USA. Sadly due to the pandemic he did not have the opportunity to play again after his Freshman year at Plainfield East High School. Recently he looked forward to playing at Evanston Township High School after relocating to Evanston in June of this year.
Marcos was a academically gifted child. This past academic year he maintained over a 5,05 grade point average. He enjoyed his Honors and AP classes. He looked forward, with enthusiasm, to the upcoming school year and AP class offerings of ETHS.
Marcos was loved by many friends both in the USA and Argentina. He was known to comfort friends who dealt with the struggles of life. He could be relied to bring levity to most situations. Debating topics which dealt with politics and/or history was a passion.
Besides soccer, Marcos enjoyed spending time on his fathers farm swimming, tending to the animals, eating Asado and building Legos.
When his siblings were old enough they accompanied and enjoyed those activities that brought such joy to Marcos as well.
Marcos enjoyed Music after attending his first concert at 6 months old and many more thereafter. He had befriended a well known musician and enjoyed being showcased at his concerts.
Marcos is greatly loved and always will be. While he is deeply missed his departure from the physical world in search for Eternal peace is understood.
“ I Love You Son ❤️“
