John Hancko Sr. passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice, just 3 months earlier. John Sr is survived by his sons John Jr (Mimi) and Tom (Laura); grandchildren Helena, William, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Alyson; and siblings Robert, Joan, and Sharon. John worked as a commodity trader and continued to trade for fun during retirement. He loved sharing his passion for math and science with his grandkids. He was very social at his retirement community, greeting everyone by name and participating in painting classes. He will be missed dearly. Interment private.
