Derek Palasz, 50 years old, died of natural causes on February 7, 2022 at his home in Evanston, IL.  He is survived by his sister Jennifer (Coan) of Naperville and his brother Karl of Winnetka.  Derek was a favorite of his nieces and nephews: Brad, Lindsay, Ryan, Caroline and Kirstin.  He grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL and attended Glenbard South High School, playing football for four years.  Derek worked for many years alongside his father, Edward, at a retail bicycle shop “Bike Line of Naperville”.  He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time there with his beloved long-time dog (and friend), Bear.  Derek will be greatly missed.
