Benjamin Frank Muldoon, age 29, born December 26, 1996, was taken far too soon on January 2, 2026. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was a radiant reflection of God’s grace — marked by curiosity, kindness, and a deep love for people. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, and those who knew him witnessed a life lived with warmth, humor, and a generous spirit.

 

Ben was cherished by his mother and father, Jill and Joseph Muldoon; his brother, Thomas; and his sister, Katherine. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Frank and Fran Burleson.

 

Ben grew up in Northfield, IL and attended Christian Heritage Academy and New Trier High School, where he formed lifelong friendships. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. Ben enjoyed music, cheering on the Detroit Lions, beating his family in Monopoly, and above all, time spent with the people he loved. His family remembers him for his infectious humor, tender heart, and affectionate, loving spirit.

 

After college, Ben worked for TATA Consultancy as a Software Engineer for two years. With a heart for service and a calling to care for young people, Ben taught in grade schools in Chicago and volunteered by tutoring with students at By The Hand Club for Kids. His compassion and joy left a lasting impact on the students and communities he served.

 

Ben’s life was a precious gift to all who knew him, and his memory will be carried forever in the hearts of those who loved him, until we are reunited in the hope of Christ.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 11 am. The service will take place at Grace Presbyterian Church, 440 Ridge Ave, Winnetka, IL.
