Richard Savin, born in Chicago November 30, 1929, passed away in Wilmette at the age of 88, on October 13, 2018. Loving husband of the late Dolores, to whom he was married for 64 years; father of Amy (Neil) Parker, Joanne (David) Strongin and Aaron (Linda) Savin; proud grandfather of Nathan, Zachary, Jonathan, Rachel, Elizabeth, Margot, Matthew and Jeffrey.
Dick was an artist and designer, and taught art to high school students in the Chicago Public Schools for 32 years. He loved to travel and had many eclectic interests including aviation, Mayan history, and oil painting.
Graveside service Saturday, November 3, 11am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie. Shiva from 1-5 pm at 920 Madison St., Evanston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605.
