Marcia Loellbach, 78, passed away on July 22, 2018 at her residence at The Lodge of Northbrook. She was born in Northbrook to Marshall and Bernice Wideroe on October 18, 1939. She lived most of her adult life in Evanston, Illinois. Though she was a psychologist by training, she spent most of her professional career working as a writer, editor, and administrator. She was an explorer at heart, traveling on quests—physical, spiritual, and artistic—to find meaning and create beauty. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Loellbach and Janet Smith; her daughter and son-in-law, Susanne Loellbach and George Bodmer; her grandchildren, Jane and Sam Bodmer; her ex-husband and good friend, Herman Loellbach; and her sister, Jean Berkenstock and her family. She is also remembered with love by her dear, long-time friends and her wonderful new friends at The Lodge. Memorial service 3:00 pm Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Lodge of Northbrook, 2220 Founders Drive, Northbrook IL 60062. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Connections for the Homeless (www.connect2home.org), the Evanston Animal Shelter (www.evanstonanimalshelter.net) or the Evanston Art Center (www.evanstonartcenter.org) appreciated.
